Installation: Dashboard > Plugins > Add New

After the activation of the plugin:

Enter your email address and choose your preference: do you want to join to the security mailinglist to receive security alerts? (It is recommended to choose ‘YES’).

You have to agree to the license terms and conditions.

You will then be asked to enter a Premium Key. If you have bought a Premium Licence, enter it here,

or:

Just skip this with “No! Thanks“, if you do not want to upgrade to Premium.

Wordfence is now activated.

Choose “Enable auto-updates“!

As soon as you have installed and activated this plugin, you will find a new menu item in your dashboard “Wordfence” with these sub items:

Dashboard
Firewall
Scan
Tools
Login Security
All Options
Help
Upgrade To Premium

Have a look at these items. If you want to change your preferences, you can do it here, but basically your default settings are done now to make your site more secure. In case of security alerts, the admin user of your site will receive a notification email!
